This post is an excerpt from the English translation of OHASYUBA on 2025/09/20.
OHASYUBA is a weekly stream by Oozora Subaru from Hololive’s 2nd generation, where she shares what happened over the past week.
Subaru writes her own English translations on a whiteboard, but a lot of her charm lies in the parts that can’t be fully captured in English.
I hope that through ICEWEDENBORY’s translation, that charm can come across.
Ichiran with Bijou

Hey, seriously… I wish the seasons would stop changing from summer to autumn all of a sudden! My body’s gonna break down, this is really bad! This summer was way too hot. I’m scared… if it’s already September, that basically means it’s almost October. And if it’s October, then it’s the end of the year. If the year is ending, that means New Year’s is coming, and with it the storm of festivals and live shows…
But I love the end of the year because there’s Christmas! Christmas is the best! And on New Year’s I have to go to Mio’s place and eat her chikuzen-ni! Maybe this year I’ll even try making chikuzen-ni myself… for the first time in my life.
I love Christmas because the whole city sparkles!
I can’t cook, so I’ve been learning little cooking tips from my housekeeper! I used to get by on Uber Eats and cup noodles, but after my health collapsed and I couldn’t eat properly, my “second mom,” the housekeeper, started coming once a week to cook and leave meals for me.
Ichiran is super popular with people from overseas… mostly because you don’t need to talk to anyone at the counter. It even went viral on TikTok, and now people treat it like a food amusement park.
It was Biboo’s first time at Ichiran, and she was really nervous. I tried to help her relax by saying, “If you press the wrong button, an alarm goes off!” She actually got scared! Of course, I told her right away it was just a joke.
When the shop’s little melody played, I told Biboo, “That sound means someone ordered extra noodles.” She looked at me with a bit of doubt. She asked, “What’s kaedama?” So I explained—it’s a refill of noodles you can order when one bowl isn’t enough.
By the way, we could even hear Roboco’s voice carrying all the way to our seats.
What about me? How much of Ichiran’s secret spicy sauce do I put in? None! It’s too spicy, so I just leave everything at the standard settings.
Lui always customizes her order with ramen and a rice set, and it looks super tasty, but the portion’s way too much for me, so I’m honestly jealous.
Oh, side note—Okayu, Flare, and I went out to eat together. The omelet rice looked so good that even though I was full, I still ordered it. Of course, I couldn’t finish, but when that happens Okayu always helps me out.
Two years ago, I honestly couldn’t eat much at all—I always left food behind. Now I’ve been training myself to eat more. By “training,” I mean pushing myself to keep eating even when I’m full so my stomach would stretch. Not something I’d recommend for everyone, but it worked for me.
Because I can eat more now, I’ve become healthier, and I don’t make the other holomembers worry anymore—so it’s the best!
Laplus: Women Are Flowers

I just can’t forgive people who don’t take baths. Basically, I like everyone, and of course I like the Holomembers too, but please—just take a bath.
Well, maybe it’s also because I love baths way too much. I’ll take one in the morning when I wake up, and again at night before I go to bed! I can’t even sleep without it.
I think there are a lot of people out there who believe you don’t need a bath if you’re just staying at home… Laplus is one of them. But even if I’m home all day, I still need to take a bath.
Laplus once told me, “Women are flowers, so even if they don’t bathe, they don’t smell bad.”
I couldn’t help but say, “What on earth are you talking about?”
Women are flowers, so just blooming is enough…? Please, don’t try to make it sound cool like that.
But Laplus is proper enough that before meeting people, she does take a bath.
She has this unique way of speaking and acting—she’ll add endings like “desu zo,” “de goza,” or “desuna” while pointing her finger up. I burst out laughing when I heard it.
Laplus’s manager—called “M-chan,” with the “M” standing for manager in Hololive—said the way of speaking rubbed off on her, and she laughed that it gave her some trouble.
The relationships between Hololive members and M-chan are really diverse.
By the way, I heard from Bijou that right now there’s a sneeze championship going on among overseas Hololive fans. There’s even a video where they count every time Hololive EN members sneeze, and Bijou is one of the top ranked!
During Hololive streams, it’s standard to comment “Bless you” or “TSKR” when someone sneezes. Apparently, when Bijou was in a taxi and the driver sneezed, she reflexively said “TSKR”!
But you know, TSKR doesn’t actually mean “Bless you.” It’s something that only exists within VTuber culture!
Watame’s Souvenir

Watame always brings me duck goods as souvenirs whenever she goes out. It makes me so happy, and I actually use them!
Look at this one… hey everyone, what do you think it is? It’s a pen. There’s a duck’s body attached under its neck, and the pen comes out when you pull it from the base of the duck’s neck. What a ridiculously strange pen.
By the way, my old M-chan has so many funny episodes that, if we were in a different worldline, she could probably be a Hololive talent herself. I’ll check with her next time, and if she gives permission, I’ll share some of those stories!
Oh, right—an announcement! Thank you so much for listening to my “LOVE ME!” The dance for this song has been released, so I’d love it if Subaru-friends would try dancing along! The routine is really intense… but once you get used to it, it feels normal. If you’re not used to exercising though, you might really hurt yourself. When you post, please tag it with #ラブミ!
Comments include things like: “I’ll get muscle pain,” “my back will die,” “my Achilles tendon will snap,” “my knees will break,” “the floor will collapse,” and “I’ll need a whole week to recover.”
Lamy’s Endless Kindness?

Oh man!! I met Lamy this week, and she really is such a hard worker. Lamy is genuinely funny—she’s always smiling in the studio. She’s delicate, super responsible, and makes you want to protect her.
Basically, no matter what I say, Lamy just replies, “Sure!” It makes me wonder—how far does her kindness go? If I asked, “Lamy, wanna go bungee jumping together?” she’d probably still say yes.
Even if Lamy says, “No way!” I feel like in the end she’d still do it. Imagine the BIG 3 (Subaru, Lamy, and Noel) going to a haunted house—Lamy and I would be scared the whole time, while Noel just laughs at us.
Editor’s note: The following is an explanation of something Lamy said on another stream, outside of Subaru’s own words.
Here I’d also like to include something Lamy said on a different stream. On this day she was drinking and chatting with fans, and the topic came up of what she would do if Subaru invited her to go bungee jumping.
Lamy said that if she were invited to bungee jump, it might be just barely too much for her. And when it came to choosing between doing a horror run of the Senritsu Labyrinth in VRChat or going bungee jumping, she said she might actually choose the horror.
Lamy’s drinking streams are full of energy and really fun, so I may translate them into English in the future.
Among Us 3D on the 30th!

As the headline says, Subaru will be playing Among Us 3D with other Hololive members on September 30.
She admitted that even when she plays murder mystery games, if someone points out that she’s the culprit, she panics inside and tries to cover it up by looking at the script. Subaru often says she isn’t very smart, but it’s probably more that she just isn’t good at lying in games where you have to figure out the culprit.
That’s why for Among Us 3D, she’s inviting members who can give her a fair match. She avoids people who are too strong at mind games or too experienced, since that would break the game balance. Instead, she carefully adjusts the lineup to keep things both fun and competitive.
